In early 2016, at the tender age of 43, I embarked on a new journey, that of the Stay at Home dad. It’s been a real learning curve and still is. It was quite a change in family dynamics and there was a period of adjustment for us all. The rewards for me as a dad have been many. Especially being able to spend so much time and develop a strong bond with our little son who is now a 2 and a half year old active little boy. I treasure the time I spend with him. Our beautiful 8 year old girl is also growing up fast and my relationship with her continues to grow and develop over time, I came into her life when she was 4 years old.
I believe in keeping a sense of humour as well as focusing on the positive and wish to encourage and share some of my experiences with families and also other dads who are considering or already taking on the role of stay at home dad. It can be an absolutely amazing opportunity. Enjoy!
